Our approach is to become an integral part of the client’s legal team. We have built and developed strong working relationships with our solicitors, who regularly instruct members to advise and appear at every stage of litigation. In addition to solicitors we receive instructions from other professionals via licensed access.
Traditionally the majority of our instructions originate from the south west. As the civil group has grown and developed, we have seen a dramatic increase of instructions for insurer client work from leading solicitors based all over the UK. These include Zurich, Royal Sun Alliance, Norwich Union and Post Office Insurance.

Chambers has a strong and highly experienced family group offering a wide range and depth of experience in all family matters. Chambers criminal group offers some of the best criminal advocates on the Western Circuit providing professionalism and dedication to all cases. The criminal group has thirteen members, who all have experience and expertise in both prosecuting and defending. Additionally, members act for all other prosecuting authorities. Our criminal group members cover all types of criminal cases from summary trials in the Magistrates Court (including specialist road traffic matters) to the most serious offences in the Crown Court and beyond.
