Practice Profile [Family]

Emma joined chambers as a tenant in June 2007 after the successful completion of pupillage. Emma has developed a busy and expanding practice in all areas of family law.
Emma accepts instructions from both private and publicly funded clients.

Children- Public:
Emma has extensive experience of acting in care proceedings, for local authorities, guardians, parents and other family members, and appears in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and High Court.

Children-Private:
Emma is frequently instructed in a full range of CA 1989 matters, including residence, contact, specific issue, prohibited steps and removal from the jurisdiction.

Domestic Violence and Injunctions:
Emma regularly acts in non-molestation and occupation injunctions, and related proceedings, including transfer of tenancies.

Finance:
Emma advises and acts in all areas of ancillary relief and matrimonial finance, as well as claims between cohabitees brought under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and claims brought under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989.
