Jonathon joined King’s Bench Chambers in 2003 after completing his pupillage at St John’s Chambers Bristol. Jonathon has developed a successful family practise. He has particular interest and experience in ancillary relief and property disputes between unmarried couples.

Experience

Jonathon represents and advises clients in the following areas:

Family Law

Jonathon accepts instructions from both private and publicly funded clients. His areas of expertise include:

  • Ancillary relief applications including big asset cases and those where the assets are complicated such those involving pensions, business interests, farming partnerships and property subject to trusts;
  • Schedule 1 Children Act applications;
  • Private and Public law children proceedings – representing parents, children’s guardians and local authorities in complicated including sexual abuse and non-accidental injuries;
  • Removal from the jurisdiction cases, child abduction and wardship;
  • Non-molestation, occupation and transfer of tenancy order applications.

Jonathon can provide seminars and workshops on any area he specialises in on request, recent examples have been:

  • Conduct in Ancillary Relief Claims
  • Thresholds under the PLO
  • Non-molestation and Occupation Orders after the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victim Act 2004
