Practice Profile

Jonathon joined King’s Bench Chambers in 2003 after completing his pupillage at St John’s Chambers Bristol. Jonathon has been a member of the civil team since joining chambers developing a successful practice with particular emphasis on personal injury and contractual disputes.

Personal Injury

Jonathon accepts instructions on all tracks. His areas of expertise include:

  • Road Traffic Accidents claims;
  • Occupiers Liability and Defective Premises claims;
  • Employer’s Liability & Health and Safety at Work claims;
  • Fatal Accidents Act 1976 and Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1934 claims;
  • Negligence claims;
  • Nuisance claims.
 
Recent cases in which Jonathon has been instructed include claims by Claimants injured whilst working on building sites, factories and nursing/care homes.

Jonathon is instructed by many leading insurers, however he also accepts work on a conditional fee basis.

  • Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeal Panel work,

Other civil work undertaken

Jonathon also has expertise in case involving professional negligence, insolvency, consumer credit, property disputes claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 claims and the Inheritance (Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
