Tom was called to the Bar in 2006. He has recently completed his pupillage and accepted an invitation to join Chambers’ as a tenant. Tom’s pupil supervisor throughout his 12 months of pupillage was Gina Small. He accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ practice.
Experience
Tom represents and advises clients in the following areas:
Civil
Tom advises and acts in the County Court in many civil matters (all tracks.) Specifically Tom has experience in the following:
- Conflicts of law (namely a conflict between Iraqi and English law)
- Contractual disputes
- Housing
- Land
- Occupier’s liability
- Personal injury
- Professional negligence
- Protection from harassment (including employers’ liability)
- Sale of goods
- Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 claims
- Trusts
Crime
Tom prosecutes and defends in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts. Tom has prosecuted for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
Employment Law
Tom is a member of our employment team and has advised in many of the areas of dispute that arise. He has appeared in Tribunals all over the Country representing both Claimants and Respondents.
Family Law
Tom appears in both the County Courts and Family Proceedings Courts across the South West. Tom acts in ancillary relief, injunctions and both private and public law proceedings concerning children.

Interests
Tom’s outside interests include both playing and watching football. Tom has an interest in personal fitness and has recently completed a half iron man triathlon over the South Downs.
